Nick McCarter

Nick McCarter is the Chief Executive Officer at Chartis Federal. He leads corporate strategy and is actively engaged with the federal community to help shape the Chartis brand. Mr. McCarter founded the company in 2008 and has since guided its growth to over 100 professionals supporting customers across the United States. Washington Technology, CIOReview magazine, and Inc. magazine have all recognized Chartis for its growth, potential, and success as one of the country’s top private companies. Prior to joining Chartis, Mr. McCarter helped establish and develop IT consulting practices at Blueprint Technologies and Project Performance Corporation.

Mr. McCarter received his Bachelor's Degree from James Madison University, where he currently serves on the Executive Advisory Board for Computer Science. He is an advocate for Chartis Federal’s focus on giving back, including its charitable relationships with impactful organizations such as The Nature Generation, Arc of Northern Virginia, Wounded Warrior Project, Border Patrol Foundation, Operation Smile, Trekking for Kids, and Lombardi Foundation. Mr. McCarter lives in Leesburg, Virginia with his wife and three children, and is proud to invest in other hard-working small businesses in his local community.
