Chartis Federal, a Virginia-based integration and engineering firm for the federal government, was named one of America’s fastest-growing private companies by Inc. Magazine for the fifth time.
The company was ranked number 3,865 on the Inc. 5000, the magazine’s annual list, with three-year sales growth of 93 percent.
Chartis Federal was founded in 2008 and has more than 100 employees located in 17 states. It supports more than $80 million of prime contracts, including with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and Federal Protective Service (FPS).

The annual Inc. 5000 event honoring all the companies on the list will be held from October 17 through 19 in San Antonio. Many well-known companies have gained early exposure as members of the Inc. 5000, including Zillow, Pandora and LinkedIn.
