Chartis Federal Receives Multi-Year Contract with DOI’s Field Communications Services

Chartis Federal, an integration and engineering firm for the federal government, was awarded a multi-year contract with the U.S. Department of the Interior (DOI) through its Field Communications (FieldCom) Services IDIQ contract vehicle.

Along with its partners, AT&T and the Lafayette Group, Chartis Federal will provide life cycle services to plan, design, implement, operate and maintain as well as decommission DOI field communication systems.

“We are proud to support the mission of the Department of the Interior and embark on a collaborative effort to maximize the capabilities of DOI’s field communication systems,” said Nick McCarter, Chartis Federal CEO. “By leveraging the expertise of our team members and partners, we will create solutions that best serve field agents who rely on this technology.”

FieldCom supports public safety and law enforcement operations using a broad portfolio of field communications technologies including P25 radio infrastructure and user devices; microwave, aviation, and marine radios; FirstNet network devices; commercial satellite voice and data devices; and civil infrastructure.

Chartis Federal has completed similar projects with the Department of Homeland Security’s Tactical Communications IDIQ for Customs and Border Protection and the Federal Protective Service.
